When Jacob met God, God changed his name to Israel.
His name was changed from Jacob (deceiver) to Israel (prince). His whole identity changed.
When you accepted Christ you received a new nature, you are now a child of God,
Your identity is now in Christ, and you are called to renew your mind (Rom 12:1,2) to this new identity. All that old natural information (education or lack of it, anger, fear, talents or lack of talents etc.) doesn't identify you anymore.
2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
God's opinion of you is the only opinion that counts. It doesn't matter if your dad or teacher or any other enemy called you dumb, stupid, or a misfit, that is not your identity anymore.
Your failures and bad opinions of yourself don't define who you are anymore.

So I say (God says) victory is in renewing your mind to your new identity in Christ, read second Peter chapter 1 verse one through 10. It is in the promises of God that you become renewed to the image of Christ. The promises of God is your new identity.
Christ lives in you, isn't that awesome? You are His habitation, He is in you with a desire to be Lord of your life. How do you cooperate with Him to accomplish this? Bring every thought captive to the image of Christ. 2Cor10:5
