Understanding the Times SS Class 3 hrs · 1Corinthians 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:

1Corinthians 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:
Too often the Spirit of God is viewed as a tool placed in our hands – but He ever remains the implement of God to transform our lives. The Holy Spirit of God is not an expression from us – He is sent to be a manifestation in us. The Holy Spirit does not bring me honor – He invades my life so I can exhibit His purpose and glory. God’s purpose in placing His Spirit in us was never intended to enhance humanity but to establish our eternal destiny. The Holy Spirit was not given to make our lives better – He was sent to make us more like Christ and serve His divine purpose. We exalt the miraculous He can do through us and balk at the primary work He desires to do in us. The manifestation of God’s Holy Spirit is not the miracles I perform – it is the sanctifying holiness I embrace and the expression of my honor and glory to Jesus Christ. We must ever be cautious to acknowledge our absolute dependence upon God’s Holy Spirit as our source of life, hope and purpose. A vessel has no purpose but to contain and preserve that which is placed within.
Read through the Bible in one year – Mar. 6/Mk. 10:1-30; Deut. 1-2
