Acts 5:31 "Him God has exalted to His right hand to be Prince and Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
Jesus cares little about what I have done or been – the darkness of my past is erased in the light of my future. We have been forgiven for potential – we must live in hope and gratitude with our eyes focused upon our eternity. The immeasurable grace and mercy of God to send His Son is the greatest statement of unconditional love ever give to all creation. Jesus Christ does not evaluate the wickedness of our sin – He responds to the brokenness of our heart – man’s greatest responsibility toward God is his humble unconditional repentance. Certainly we must sorrow over the sins we have committed and accept Hs forgiveness – but we must also sorrow over our sin nature and allow the sanctifying presence of His Holy Spirit to guide us into holiness. Christ’s unconditional forgiveness gives us the right to experience Hs conditional presence. We are received by God without the barrier of sin and given the right to transform our hearts while dwelling in Hs holy presence. Brokenness brings us to God – obedience to His Word brings God to us. My repentance and His forgiveness provides my salvation – my devotion and obedience exalts my Lord and declares my humble gratitude.
