Tornadoes, Severe Storms Rip Through New Orleans, Damaging Homes - NBC News

Tornadoes, Severe Storms Rip Through New Orleans, Damaging Homes - NBC News

We are getting reports of major tornado damage in the New Orleans and Donaldsonville, Louisiana, area—where Samaritan's Purse has responded before. Governor John Bel Edwards has declared a state of emergency. Our Samaritan's Purse Disaster Response unit rolled out early this morning to be where there is the greatest need. We will be helping families pick back up after the storms destroyed so much. One resident whose house was completely destroyed told the media, "I just thank the Lord I got my life…this is the only home I've known." As our staff and volunteers help in Jesus' Name, we want storm victims to know that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). Will you pray for the injured and those who have lost their homes?
