Lu 21:36 "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.
We must not carelessly rest in our initial commitment to Christ without a passionate desire to grow in understanding and wisdom to transform our lives. Our spiritual enemies are relentless to inspire doubt and embrace wrong thinking – our worthiness is not measured by our spiritual perfection, but by our humble willingness place our Lord’s purpose and way above our own. There is much hardship and trials coming upon this world – we must watch and pray for our Lord’s strength and guidance to be counted worthy to stand in His eternal majestic holiness. Wishful thinking or good intentions will not substitute for our sincere devotion and obedience to our Lord and His Word. To teach us reverent fear God revealed His immediate and exacting justice toward rebellious Israel in the Old Testament – we have been provided a time of mercy and grace, but we must not ignore the warnings and ultimate judgement found in Revelation.
