An Iranian doctor, working at the Free University of Brussels, was sentenced to death in Iran. Ahmadreza Djalali was on a holiday in Iran with his family, when he was detained on suspicion of collaborating with hostile states.
Djalali was locked up in a Tehran prison in isolation for 7 months without a trial or lawyer.
Before his arrest, he was working in Italy to train doctors in the field of disaster medicine.
