Psalms 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.
There should be no separation between our desire to experience Jesus in our lives and our humble awe and wonder of His sovereign majestic presence in His creation. It would serve us well to take time to simply wonder and appreciate what our Lord done all around us. The magnificence of creation should inspire us to desire the intimate presence of our creator. The infinite complexity of creation gives us a glimpse of our Lord’s infinite attributes. The heavens were not created to stir curiosity but to inspire devotion, praise and worship. Mankind expends all his energy to discover the how and why of creation – neglecting profound purpose of the Who of creation. God did not provide creation to show us what He could do; but inspire us to accept who He is and embrace His eternal purpose. God has manifest His wonder in creation – it should ignite our desire to know intimately the God Who has so carefully and thoughtfully revealed Himself and His eternal purpose.
