John 14:21 "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him."
Our love for Jesus Christ and all He has done for us is declared by our humble desire to obey what He has commanded. If our understanding of what Christ commands of us does not compel us to obey it is meaningless. Jesus Christ evaluates our love for Him by our humble desire to obey what He has commanded of us – a declaration of commitment is useless if it does not impact our word, behavior and thoughts. Our Father in heaven determines our profession by our willingness to be transformed by His Word. God the Father loves those who humbly submit to His Son and what he has done for us. The manifestation of Jesus Christ in our lives is not determined by what we might do; it is produced by who we are and our passionate devotion to what Jesus has commanded.
