Iran is continuing to milk the assassination of its nuclear scientists for internal propaganda against the "Zionist entity": The wife of Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan, who was deputy director of the Natanz uranium enrichment facility, told the Fars News Agency in an interview published Tuesday that "Mostafa's ultimate goal was the annihilation of Israel." Fatemeh Bolouri Kashani said: "I understood from Mostafa that his ultimate goal was the annihilation of Israel and perhaps that was the reason he was interested in Ahmed Matousselian." Matousselian was a senior iofficer in the Revolutionary Guard and one of four Iranian diplomats killed in Lebanon in 1982.

In the in interview Bolouri Kashani also underlined that her spouse loved any resistance figure in his life who was willing to fight the" Zionist regime" and supported the "rights of the oppressed Palestinian nation." She added: "I didn't know what my husband's role was as it was classified." She noted that he did not have a bodyguard and that he moved around freely. Kashani also said that she knew her husband would become a martyr. "I kept telling him that but I didn't think it would happen so soon."

Meanwhile, on Thursday Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei met with a number of Iranian nuclear scientists, a meeting that was documented and given full media coverage. Most likely, for fears that those present at the meeting could bcome the next assassination target.

Photographers received instructions to only take pictures of the backs of the scientists so that they could not be identified.
