“Christian” leaders demand US betrayal of Israel

Religious leaders call on Congress to re-evaulate military aid to Israel.

Apostate “Christian” leaders is the US demand that Romney and Obama betray Israel. Romney is less likely to listen and obey.

Fifteen leaders of U.S. churches and other faith-based organizations have asked Congress to reevaluate U.S. military aid to Israel.

 ”As Christian leaders in the United States, it is our moral responsibility to question the continuation of unconditional U.S. financial assistance to the government of Israel. Realizing a just and lasting peace will require this accountability, as continued U.S. military assistance to Israel — offered without conditions or accountability — will only serve to sustain the status quo and Israel’s military occupation of the Palestinian territories,” the letter, signed by leaders of the Lutheran, Methodist, UCC churches, and the National Council of Churches, said.

The American Jewish Committee said it was outraged by the Christian leaders’ call.

 “When the world currently is focused on the Iranian nuclear threat to the entire Middle East and the world, Christian leaders have chosen to mount another political attack on Israel,” said Rabbi Noam Marans, AJC director of Interreligious and Intergroup Relations.
 “When religious liberty and safety of Christians across the Middle East are threatened by the repercussions of the Arab Spring, these Christian leaders have chosen to initiate a polemic against Israel, a country that protects religious freedom and expression for Christians, Muslims and others.”

My comment:
The last days will be known for the great falling away, and a massive betrayal of Israel.
Pagans can not fall away from a faith they have never had. It is followers of Jesus who are going to walk away from faith, and join others who are willing to betray the Messiah.
In the Lutheran and Methodist camp, anti-Zionism has been a problem since 1948.
The existence of a Jewish statehood do not fit into replacement theology. For supporters of this ideology, it can simply not be possible that Jesus has re-birthed Israel.
The basic doctrine of this ideology, is that All the promises given to the Jews were transported to the Catholics.  And only when the Jews embrace “the church”, God want to stand by his promises to them.
The truth is that the Messiah is a Zionist. He is the author of all the promises to the Jewish people.  He regathered them home and re-birthed the Jewish homeland. He took them home. All of them. Both the good the bad and the ugly.
You have no right to harm them. Anti-Zionists who claim to know “Jesus”have never known Him. They should read Matthew 7: 21-24 all over again.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

It is not Father God’s will that man shall support a “Messiah” who is a rebel, and who change both his nature and his mind.
Stand up for Israel. Stand with the Jewish people in their time of trouble.
