We Are Blessed
WE ARE BLESSED!!!
Eph.1: 1-6 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
We as believers are blessed by God without measure. Even when we take time to assess what our Father has bestowed upon us through Christ we still cannot fully comprehend the length and breadth and height and depth of His unfathomable blessings. Here are but a few.
* We can speak with our Heavenly Father.
* We have been given earthly life.
* We can ask the Father for our needs.
* We have been given the written Word of God.
* We have been given great and exceeding promises.
* We have been given the Spirit of God as our Comforter.
* We have been adopted as sons of God.
* We are partakers of God’s grace.
* We have been given the spirit of faith.
* We have been called as servants of God.
* We have been made into new creatures in Christ.
* All our needs have been met by His riches in glory.
* We have been called to suffer for His name’s sake.
* We have been given abundant like in Christ.
* We have an inheritance reserved for us in heaven.
* We have been given life everlasting.
* We now know Jesus Christ.
* We have been translated from darkness into light.
* We no longer have to worry.
* We have nothing to fear.
* We now know what true love is.
* We have joy in the Holy Spirit through Christ.
* We have been made partakers of His sacrifice at Calvary.
But what happens if Mitt Romney is elected? But what happens if President Obama is re-elected? What happens? I refer you to the list above. If you are invested in the upcoming election than you still have no idea what you have in Jesus Christ which does not change. Reject the fallen machinations of men and rejoice! You are in Christ and Christ is in you and that cannot be compared with anything here. But what about the 16 trillion dollars of national debt?
16 trillion years from today we will still be worshiping the Risen Christ in all His glory and it will seem like we just arrived. That, my friends, is the eternal perspective we must have in all things!! We are so blessed, but even those words seem so inadequate when we consider who we serve and who we love and who we worship. Away with all this earthly nonsense that attempts to capture our hearts and minds and steer us away from considering Him!
Tomorrow will take care of itself, but Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever!!!!
