Orlando Shooter’s Wife Wanted on Suspicion of Aiding Massacre Has ‘Vanished’ According to Family
Noor Salman, the wife of slain Orlando gunman and terrorist Omar Mateen, is reportedly no longer at their Fort Pierce home, according to the Sun-Sentinal.
Mateen’s father Seddique Mateen told reporters that his son’s wife, Noor Salman, was “no longer here.” In fact, he added that she was no longer even in the area — but he would not provide any information as to her whereabouts.
This past Tuesday, the St. Lucie County police reportedly showed up at the Fort Pierce house and checked inside. But they did not comment to the press about Salman’s disappearance.
As reported by CNN:
Federal investigators digging for clues in the Orlando nightclub massacre are zeroing in on Noor Salman, the widow of gunman Omar Mateen.
NPR reports:
Now, the sources tell NPR’s Dina Temple-Raston that a grand jury is looking into what Mateen’s wife, Noor Salman, might have known about his plans to target Pulse and whether she should face charges in connection to the attack.“The grand jury has been meeting for several days and could make their decision as early as today,” Dina reports.
Several accounts of Salman’s longtime knowledge of her husband’s violent intentions have circulated throughout the press.
Most recently, police recovered text messages between the couple during the massacre, in which Salman told her husband that ‘she loved him.’ Mateen also asked his wife if she had ‘seen the news.’
