I want to address an issue that some of you may not fully aware of. That is the fact that just a few days ago, the FAA prohibited all US airlines from going into Israel's Ben Gurion airport. This is incredible and bears some analysis. Allow me to express my opinion:
1) This is unprecedented. The stated reason for stopping the flights was to protect passengers because a missile had been fired in proximity of the airport. Well how about Ukraine? When an aircraft was shot down in the Ukraine only a few days earlier, that would have been a good time and place to start applying this policy. The missile that was fired in Israel near the airport landed over a mile away from the airport. The US just doesn't do this as a normal response to conflict.
2) So why did the US restrict these flights when the danger was minimal? The answer is "Economic warfare". The Obama administration is so anti-Israel that they wanted to hurt Israel by impacting commerce and tourism by stopping the US flights. The implementation occurred on the same day that Sec State John Kerry landed in Tel Aviv to deliver $47m to Gaza which all went to Hamas. INCREDIBLE! ALL THIS STUNT WAS INTENDED TO DO WAS TO PUT PRESSURE ON THE ISRAELIS TO CEASE THEIR OPERATIONS.
3) While this lasted only 36 hours, it infuriated many Americans and almost every Jew in Israel. Israeli Jews are supportive of the operations in Gaza at a rate of 87% of those polled. Israelis have never been so unified. All I will say at this point is that America had better stand with Israel and we had better do so NOW. Read Genesis 12:3 and draw your own conclusions.
