GOOD NEWS: "Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it."

GOOD NEWS: "Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it."
Aren't you happy that we have a Book that teaches us how to react to every curve ball, every attack, every unfortunate mishap, and even pitfalls of our own doing. It also tells us what happens after the trial, so we are never left in the dark. As a Christian, there really is no reason to react like the world. The behavioral guidelines and promises are all in the Book. Here are a few to remember:
- Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
- 1 Peter 5:10 ESV
And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.
- Romans 12:12 ESV
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
- Philippians 4:6-7 ESV
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- Exodus 14:14 ESV / 331 helpful votes
The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.
- Psalm 34:17-18
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.
