Drug resistant Pestilence occuring in different parts of the wold
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The feds are descending on downtown Los Angeles to combat a dangerous outbreak of a drug-resistant strain of tuberculosis.
John Williams started living at the Weingart shelter on LA’s Skid Row two weeks ago. Before he could be admitted, he had to undergo a screening for tuberculosis.
“They make you go get checked before you get into one of these programs because they don’t want it spread out in there,” Williams said.
With nearly 80 cases of tuberculosis being identified in LA County since 2007 — thirty of which have been on Skid Row — tuberculosis screenings are more important than ever for some.
In fact the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has launched a coordinated effort to contain the area’s largest outbreak in a decade.

SAUDI ARABIA - Another person suffering from a SARS-like virus has died in Saudi Arabia, the World Health Organization said Thursday, bringing the worldwide number of fatalities from the mystery illness to seven.
The Saudi health ministry had informed the UN’s health body that the patient had been hospitalised on January 29 and had died on February 10, WHO said in a statement.
A laboratory had confirmed on February 18 that the person had died from the so-called novel coronavirus, or NCoV, it added.
This brings to 13 the number of cases of the virus that have so far been reported to the WHO since it was first detected in the middle of last year, with six previous fatalities — three in Saudi Arabia, two in Jordan and one in Britain.
The news comes just days after a person suffering from the virus died in hospital in central England on Sunday.
That patient, who had a pre-existing health condition, was one of three people in the same family with the virus, which appeared to have been caught by one of the family members during a recent visit to the Middle East and Pakistan.

Signs are all around us, so much so that it would be hard to brush it off. Yet, many claiming ignorence, or choose to simply ignore. But the Word of God is living and forever true.
Luke 21:11There have been a huge increase of signs in the sky, reported recently. And all of these, including earthquakes and war will soon increase even more.
There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.
But Christ Our Savior will be here soon!
