Jerusalem prayer event to be live streamed

Fri, 30 Nov 2012 - 11:31 AM CST

Global Day of Prayer
The Global Day of Prayer for the Poor, the culmination of a 10-day prayer event in the Holy Lands organized by the Assemblies of God Center for Holy Lands Studies and the Convoy of Hope Prayer Initiative, will take place at the King of Kings Community Church in Jerusalem on Wednesday, December 12.
Three hours of this landmark event will be live streamed from King of Kings Community Church from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (Central) on December 12. Various prayer ministry leaders will lead in prayer during those hours, lifting up the needs of the poor and suffering.
Thomas E. Trask, chairman of Convoy of Hope's Global Prayer Initiative, and former general superintendent of the U. S. Assemblies of God, encourages believers to join in and be part of the prayer experience.
"By prayerfully joining in prayer online, people will share the feeling of participating with those who gather in Jerusalem to pray on the behalf of poor and suffering around the world," Trask says. "Poverty and hunger exist worldwide, and for the Church to gather on behalf of those who suffer is God-pleasing and spiritually uplifting - those who pray will be the benefactors as a result of it. Scripture says to pray one for another and that is the setting that will transpire as a result of this event."
