ISIS In America: Man Accused Of Recruiting And Training ISIS Militants! You Won’t Believe Where!
The fear of ISIS in America is becoming more and more of a reality as time goes by. The Inquisitr reported on events associated with this fear which includes the attack at Fort Bliss, which may have been initiated from a terror cell just two miles outside of El Paso, Texas. For those who don’t believe ISIS can infiltrate the United States, they’ve been also reported to enter the country by coming across the border, which doesn’t have to be from Mexico, but Canada as well. They could get into the country through the Mexican border as someone posted a video up of a man dressed as a terrorist with a mannequin head simply walking across the border. Border patrol was nowhere to be found.
Now there are reports of a man accused of recruiting and training ISIS militants here on American soil. You’d think it would probably be at some commune in the desert right? Actually not! This man was making jihadi insurgents in Rochester, New York.
According to an article by the New York Times, Mufid A. Elfgeeh was indicted on Tuesday on charges that he tried to provide material support to the Islamic State, or ISIS, by providing assistance to three men who said they would travel to Syria to engage in violent jihad. Elfgeeh was charged with the attempted murder of current and former members of the United States military, including some who have returned home Iraq. He was also charged for possession of firearms equipped with silencers in which he planned to use the weapons to kill the military personnel.
Mufid A. Elfgeeh was arrested back in May as part of a sting operation. Apparently, two of the three men who said they wanted to commit violent jihad in Syria were plants by the federal authorities and with their cooperation, were able to capture Elfgeech.
NBC reports that Mufid A. Elfgeeh was investigated by the FBI a year ago, when he stated posting a series of tweets expressing support for ISIS, al Qaeda and other overseas terrorist organizations. He urged people to donate money for the cause. As a matter of fact, one of his messages told everyone to donate a third of their salary to jihadists.
As of now, Mufid A. Elfgeeh has been in custody but we want to know what you think. With this bit of news, does it drive home the threat of ISIS in the America for you? If so, do you think the president is doing all he can to stop this threat? If not, what would you believe would be a viable sign that the threat of ISIS of America is real?
