The Exponential Unemployment Rate Under The Messiah

You’re Fired!

Not exactly the words one wants to ever hear from his supervisor. But what if you were fired from a toilsome and difficult job, in a dirty and dangerous place, only to be hired by a perfect Employer, for a perfect job, in a beautiful place of countless blessing and reward?

The Bible teaches that the Lord Jesus Christ will reign over a literal one- thousand year kingdom on this earth from His throne in Jerusalem one day (Isa. 2:1-4;11, Zech. 14:9-21, Rev. 20:4-5). Sadly, for too many believers, this truth almost seems like a fairy tale because they simply don’t mix faith with the Word of God (Heb. 4:2; 11:1, 6). In today’s study we will consider some of the characteristics of this future Kingdom, things that will and things that will not be done“in all his holy mountain”.

He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron!

As part of His glorious return to earth the Lord Jesus Christ will break both the power of the nations as well as the curse that has been on the earth since Adam’s sin (Isa. 11:1-9; 35, Rom. 5:12-21). Revelation 19:15 says that, “out of His mouth go’s a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: and He shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” Psalm 2 as well as the prophetic books of Isaiah, Daniel, and Zechariah all echo this absolute victory that Jesus Christ will bring to His people Israel and in turn to the whole earth (Isa. 24:21-22, Dan. 2:44-45, Zech. 12:3-4; 14:1-3).

But putting down earth’s rebellion is only the start. The Bible also teaches that the One who wore a crown of thorns will also remove the curse from which they grew. Zechariah 14:8-9 tells of this wonderful healing that will begin when the King of the Kingdom is received. "And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one."

How Will We Serve the King?

Well first, let’s think about some jobs and industries which will no longer be needed in the Kingdom Age. This of course only represents a partial list, as it is impossible to envision just how fully the curse has affected the earth and how much effort mankind spends fighting the consequences of it (Gen. 3:17-19).

It goes without saying that all employment in immoral industries such as Casinos, Nightclubs and Liquor Stores will be gone. While it’s true that there will be unsaved people born during the Kingdom years, all sinful activity will be held in check by the omniscient and instant judgment of God (Ps. 2:9, Isa. 11:4, Rev. 19:15).

Gone too, will be all branches of the military and all factories that manufacture munitions and weapons of war. Every military academy across the world will close as Almighty God’s Word declares , “he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plow shares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” Micah 4:3.

There will no longer be a need for policemen, law enforcement, night watchmen or guards of any kind. All prisons will be closed and there will be no employment relating to the criminal justice system or courts, whether at the state, local, or federal level. This means no judges, lawyers, bail bondsmen, bounty hunters or private detectives.

Since the only people that will die during the Kingdom years are those who commit an open act of rebellion, there will be no hospitals, doctors, nurses, convalescence homes, emergency responders or search and rescue personnel. Drug stores and the pharmacists’ they employ will no longer be necessary and no one will research diseases, run charities or lobby for a social cause. Both the psychiatrist and the psychologist will find different employment for lack of customers.

While farming will still be practiced, good crops will grow naturally and it will be impossible to grow a weed. Both the pesticide and fertilizer industry will cease and there will be no need for either the veterinarian or the exterminator. Instead of back breaking work, during the Kingdom, farming and gardening will be fun!

Since the weather and climate will be perfect, there will be no weathermen to try and predict it or insurance companies to sell products that protect against it. Manufacturing will cease for any and all products that battle rust, corrosion, mold and decay. Even the cosmetic industry will stop as there will be no battle against the ravages of the aging process.

So what then will believers do and how will they serve the King of kings in the Kingdom?

The Lord Jesus taught that the key was faithfulness. “And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.” Luke 19:17. By inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Paul reminded believers, “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” 1 Corinthians 4:2.

Jesus will give each believer a perfect position in the Kingdom based on their faithfulness to Him today.

The Lord told his disciples,“Fear not little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” Luke 12:32. God told Israel, “as a young man marries a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.” Isaiah 62:5. The Lord Jesus Christ loves us as his bride (Eph. 5:23-32)!

God promised by the prophet Zechariah, “In that day, says the LORD of hosts, everyone will invite his neighbor under his vine and under his fig tree.” Zechariah 3:10.

What a beautiful description of the coming Kingdom. Just as in Solomon’s day, where every tribe and family of Israel was given their own piece of property by the Lord, Zechariah assures us that the whole earth will be settled in peace and safety when the “greater than Solomon” rules with a “rod of iron” (Ps. 2:9, Isa. 11:4, Matt. 12:42, Rev. 19:15). There will be no need for locks on your doors or high fences to keep your neighbors honest.

Some might be thinking after these reflections on the Kingdom, can anything be greater? You had better be sitting down!

As wonderful as we have seen that this earthly Kingdom will be, the ETERNAL dwelling place with Christ will be exponentially better!

The Apostle Paul said, “I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows) such a one caught up to the third heaven. And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows) how that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.” 2 Corinthians 12:2-4.

Paul could only say that it would be a crime to try and describe with earthly language the beauty of God’s heaven. If you only had in your language the words, “wet”, “soaked”, “damp” and “moist” could you describe to someone the vast and glorious Pacific Ocean? What would you tell them? It’s really, really damp! It’s a large wet and moist place! To even attempt it would be a crime!

Is it any wonder that God let Satan give Paul a thorn in the flesh after he had been given an eye witness view of such heavenly things (2 Cor. 12:7)?

Let us therefore keep our eye’s fixed on our Savior, remembering the future He has planned for us, while we labor in the valley, introducing others to the Good Shepherd who longs to bring them to such heights as well.

For, “without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6

The perfect Boss, the perfect job, perfect co-workers, in a perfect place, with perfect pay, and an endless day…what a Rewarder indeed!

If Army chaplain Emil Kapaun served in Afghanistan today rather than Korea six decades ago, President Obama would probably give the Catholic priest discharge papers instead of the Congressional Medal of Honor.  

In Obama's Army, the Pentagon brass is ordained in the priesthood of political correctness, while devout Christians such as Medal of Honor recipient Emil Kapaun are shunned and ostracized.  At all times between the presidential terms of George Washington and George W. Bush, the open practice of Christianity in the ranks was widespread and the open practice of homosexuality was deemed incompatible with military service. In the Obama era, the reverse is true.

President Obama is a wartime Commander-in-Chief. No, I don’t mean the obvious (Iraq or Afghanistan). I’m talking about his preference for waging a race war, a gender war, class warfare, generational warfare, and – with escalating aggression and mounting casualties – a culture war.  With the exceptions of free enterprise and traditional marriage, no institution has been more “radically transformed” by the Obama regime than our Armed Forces. Given President Obama’s notorious contempt for Americans who “cling to their Bibles” and “guns,” perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised by his Administration’s hostility to service members who espouse traditional Judeo-Christian beliefs.

The persecution of Christians and conservatives has become increasingly brazen and pervasive since the President took office four and half years ago.  To “protect patients” from proselytizing or prayer, Walter Reed Army Medical Center banned wounded warriors’ family members from “bringing or using Bibles” during visits. The Department of Veterans Affairs barred Christian prayers at a National Cemetery. The President signed the law that repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” the Attorney General refused to defend the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) in court, and the Department of Defense authorized unholy "matrimony" ceremonies at military installations even before the Supreme Court struck down part of DOMA. 

A war games scenario at Ft. Leavenworth identified evangelical Christian groups as a national security threat. 

A field grade officer listed the American Family Association and Family Research Council as “domestic hate groups” and directed his subordinate officers to monitor soldiers who might be supporters. Evangelist Franklin Graham was un-invited from the Pentagon’s National Day of Prayer service.  A training exercise funded by the Department of Homeland Security portrayed home-schooling families as the domestic terrorists.

Last year, I introduced the Military Religious Freedom Protection Act. The bill requires the military to accommodate service members’ moral principles and religious beliefs so long as they don’t “threaten good order and discipline,” forbids the military from using an individual’s beliefs as the basis for an adverse personnel action, and forbids the military from forcing chaplains to perform homosexual marriage ceremonies.  My bill’s language was included in the National Defense Authorization Act passed by Congress last December. 

When President Obama signed it into law, he claimed the conscience protections I authored were “unnecessary and ill-advised.” But recent events confirm the new law was necessary, well-advised, and prophetic. These episodes exemplify the new military culture, one that rebukes those who practice Christianity and rewards those who worship at the altar of political correctness.

Army Master Sergeant Nathan Sommers’ superiors told him to remove the conservative, Republican, and scripture-quoting bumper stickers from his personal vehicle.  He was told he must avoid being seen reading books authored by Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, or David Limbaugh while in uniform.  He was investigated for serving Chick-fil-A food at his promotion party to express his support for traditional marriage.  In retribution, the Army is pursuing trumped up disciplinary charges against him.

The Utah Air National Guard cancelled the six-year re-enlistment contract of Tech Sergeant Layne Wilson because he told a chaplain he thought the chapel at West Point shouldn’t be used for a homosexual wedding.  An Air Force officer was required to hide from view the Bible he once kept on top of his desk.  An Air Force chaplain’s video tribute to sergeants was banned for fear it would offend an “agnostic, atheist, or Muslim.”  The chaplain’s video narration said: “On the eighth day, God looked down on His creation and said, ‘I need someone who will take care of the Airmen.’ So God created a First Sergeant.”

Coast Guard Rear Admiral William Lee told a National Day of Prayer audience that Christian service members are being told to hide their faith and religious liberty is being threatened by Pentagon lawyers.  Army Reserve training materials listed Evangelical Christianity, Catholicism, and Orthodox Judaism as extremist religious groups alongside Al-Qaeda and Hamas.  This is especially outrageous since the Obama Administration continues to classify the mass shooting at Ft. Hood (in which 13 people were killed by Army Major Nidal Hasan) as “workplace violence” rather than admit it was a terrorist attack carried out by a radicalized Muslim.

In April, several Generals consulted Mikey Weinstein – the anti-Christian zealot dedicated to attacking men and women of any faith -- to solicit his help writing Air Force policies concerning “religious tolerance.”  If there’s one person whose advice the Pentagon brass shouldn’t solicit, it is that of Mr. Weinstein, a man who says the military ranks are full of “Christian fundamentalist monsters” whose evangelizing constitutes “spiritual rape,” “a national security threat,” and “sedition and treason.”  After Weinstein telephoned the Pentagon to complain about a painting displayed at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, it was removed less than one hour later.  The painting bore the word “Integrity” and the citation “Matthew 5:9” (the verse says:“Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called children of God”). 

Mr. Weinstein bragged to The Washington Post that the Defense Department expressed its willingness to ban proselytizing (i.e., evangelizing, sharing one’s faith, or spreading the Gospel) and added, “We need half a dozen court-martials real quick.”  Days later, the Pentagon issued a statement to the news media that announced: “Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense.”  After reading about this alarming situation on my Facebook page, a Sergeant First Class posted the following comment: “This is why I am retiring. ... The liberals are destroying our values.”  One wonders how long before the radical Weinstein and his Pentagon pals find and punish this Sergeant. 

These revelations highlight the fact that Obama's war on God-fearing servicemen is not only morally repugnant, but also threatens the long-term soundness of our voluntary military. Who wants to join an organization that increasingly caters to homosexual and atheists, meanwhile denigrating Christians and traditional marriage?  If you care nothing at all about the constitutional free exercise rights of our servicemen, surely you can at least see the dangers to military readiness posed by such harassment and persecution.

In April, I attended the White House ceremony at which President Obama presented Ray Kapaun with the Congressional Medal of Honor awarded posthumously to his uncle, Chaplain (Captain) Emil Kaupan. A farm boy from my congressional district in Kansas, the “Patriot Priest of the Korean Conflict” saved countless lives of fellow soldiers on the battlefield, along the death march to the Pyoktong Prisoner of War camp, and during the seven months of captivity that preceded his murder by communist Chinese guards in May 1951. 

I can only imagine what Mr. Weinstein would say about the “how to witness Christianity” proselytizing clinic that Fr. Kapaun put on in the POW camp or this report of repatriated American soldiers: "He was their hero – their admired and beloved ‘padre’. He kept up the G.I.’s morale, and most of all [caused] a lot of men to become good Catholics."

It speaks volumes that Fr. Kapaun had Protestants, Jews, and atheists saying the Rosary, singing the Lord’s Prayer, and praying together at the Easter sunrise service he led, all in defiance of the communist camp guards who ridiculed his devotion to faith and punished him for it. In a detailed account of the priest’s life, Arthur Tonne wrote: "He has transmitted to every one of us a new appreciation of America, and a keener, more realistic understanding of our country’s greatest enemy – godlessness.”

When Fr. Kapaun was being carried to the “Death House” (i.e., isolation without food or water), the Muslim POWs from Turkey stood at attention to honor him.  According to witnesses, Fr. Kapaun blessed the very guards who were murdering him by saying, “Forgive them, for they know not what they do.”  President Obama should be earnestly and prayerfully seeking more such men, not forging a military where they are not welcome, or where the very actions that once earned them the Medal of Honor are now forbidden by the Commander-in-Chief.

Only in America ... actually, only in Barack Obama's and Mikey Weinstein's America ...

No Peace For America

There is absolutely no way that TRUE PEACE and PERFECT HARMONY can EVER be brought about WITHOUT the ETERNAL established RIGHTEOUSNESS of ALMIGHTY GOD (Isa. 32:17, 48:18,22). Almighty God’s whole ETERNITY and physical universe was established based on the ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS PERSON of the TRIUNE GOD! How deceived are we as Americans (conservative, moderate or progressive) and totally delusional to think that we as Adam’s fallen race could establish a PERFECT world and enter into ETERNITY without the required RIGHTEOUSNESS that Almighty God demands (1 Cor. 6:8-11, Gal. 5:19-21, Rev. 21:8, 22:14-15). Indeed there will NEVER be any TRUE peace or TRUE harmony for those who practice and engage in lawlessness, only ETERNAL ruin (Isa. 48:22, 57:21, Rev. 20:11-15, 21:8, 22:11).

We are a smashed and broken egg with absolutely no way our repairing ourselves.

If it had not been for Almighty God’s outside intervention holding back the full accumulation of violence of mankind we would have been extinct a long time ago(Matt. 24:21-22, 2 Thess. 2:6-8). Isn’t it amazing that as American’s listen to our leaders in Washington D.C., the media (conservative and liberal), Hollywood and the music culture and industry preach utopian ideals unto them that the majority of the world sincerely believe that lie from hell, which is if we just keep working at “peace” (give peace a chance) that we will one day finally achieve it?

How deceived are we as humans and totally delusional to think that we as Adam’s fallen race could establish a PERFECT world and enter into ETERNITY without the required RIGHTEOUSNESS that Almighty God demands.

My friend, let's wake up and get real! There is NO WAY that a smashed egg can EVER again be put perfectly back togetherand there is NO WAY that this broken world can EVER fix itself. This vain utopian pursuitis the ultimate delusional chasing of the devil’s cattle. At the end of this vain delusional chase the world will tragically finally find out the REALITIES of time and ETERNITY that they have REJECTED their whole lives(Luke 16:22-31, Heb. 9:27, Rev. 20:11-15). It will be in that Day that these will be fully AWAKENED from their self induced godless hypnotic delusion and will FULLY understand that their lawless self willed existence here in time has led them straight into the slaughter house of the ETERNAL Divine Judgment and wrath of Almighty God(Rom. 1:18-32, 2 Thess. 2; 8-12, Rev.20:11-15).

This vain utopian pursuit is the ultimate delusional chasing of the devil’s cattle.

Almighty God calls out to all in these last days to the receive REALITY, TRUTH and RIGHTEOUSNESS and to be SAVED from the wrath to come (John 3:16-17, Acts 17:30-31, Rom. 2:4, 1Tim. 2:3-4)! My dear friend, your Creator has a glorious future for you IF you would only receive it (John 1:12, 3:16-17, 1 Cor. 2:9, Rev. 21, 22:1-5). Have you been living in a delusion about life, this world and your ETERNAL future? My dear friend put aside your subjective pride and be objective and believe and receive the Savior. You will NEVER EVER be the same!

The only thing phony in the news lately is the idea that our economy is actually recovering. Today the Labor Department released its latest jobs report showing that the unemployment rate fell to 7.4%. This will likely be touted as good news by many who are trying desperately to spin liberal policies as effective. But the truth is that the labor force participation rate has fallen again and the number of part-time workers continues to rise. The real unemployment rate, including those who are underemployed in this economy, is actually 14%. If the Obama administration wanted to be honest in its use of the “phony” label, it would start with its pathetic excuse for an economic recovery.

Let's start with Benghazi. The slow trickle of information about what really happened on the night when four Americans died in Benghazi has been painfully frustrating. Yet this week we have learned more information that has escalated the story. First we learned the story of Diplomatic Security Agent David Ubben. He remains in Walter Reed Medical Facility to this day, recovering from wounds incurred on September 11, 2012. He sat on the rooftop of the Annex for 20 hours with a shredded leg, waiting for help from his country. Now we've learned that 35 CIA operatives were actually on the ground in Benghazi the night of the attack, and seven were severely wounded. Why haven't we heard from any of these people as to what happened? Because the CIA wants to make sure their stories remain secret. In fact, the government is so determined to keep their stories a secret that it has taken unprecedented measures: It is subjecting the agents to frequent – sometimes as much as once a month – polygraph tests to make sure agents aren't lying about speaking to the media or to members of Congress. Theories as to why CIA operatives were in Benghazi have been swirling around for months, but the lengths to which the government is trying to keep their information secret should make the average person start to question exactly what it is the government doesn't want us to know.

Now to the IRS. Just like with Benghazi, Obama expressed (what can only be described now as) phony outrage at the onset. Months later, it is hard to believe that Obama was genuine when he said, “I have got no patience with it, I will not tolerate it, and we will make sure that we find out exactly what happened on this.” Now the administration is in the business of trying to convince us that this same issue is nothing more than a manufactured float in an “endless parade” of “phony scandals.” As John Fund of NROdescribes this as a “slo-mo” cover-up, he points out that the escalation in pushback must mean that “investigators are getting warmer.”

Less than a week ago, our own Treasury Secretary Jack Lew tried his best to convince us that there was no there, there. But then he went on to admit that nobody has actually asked the President's Chief Counsel at the IRS if he did, in fact, have any knowledge or play any role in the targeting of conservative groups. After all, testimony by Carter Hull brought the controversy all the way to the office of this presidential appointee.

Also this week, House Oversight and Government Affairs Committee Chairman Darrell Issa accused the IRS of stonewalling the investigation. A letter to acting IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel reads in part: “The actions of the IRS under your leadership have made clear to the committee that the agency has no intention of complying completely or promptly with the committee’s oversight efforts.” According to Issa, the committee has requested about 64 million pages worth of documents, and the IRS has only handed over 12,000.

We also learned this week, thanks to emails released by Congressional investigators, that Lois “I plead the Fifth” Lerner may have also helped the Federal Election Commission engage in its own version of targeting conservatives.

And documents obtained by the Daily Caller show that the IRS continued targeting conservative pro-life groups as recently as June 2013.

In other words, the lie we were originally fed about low-level employees in Cincinnati should feel insulting when you consider the size and scope of this practice that continues to be unearthed. Are they still going with the “phony” line?

Nobody is begging for ObamaCare because of its amazing cost or coverage. The only people who are fervently pushing for ObamaCare are those seeking power and their names in the history books.

Not only are the unions complaining about ObamaCare, but yesterday we learned that our own IRS Commissioner doesn't even want ObamaCare coverage. During a committee hearing yesterday on ObamaCare and the IRS, Danny Werfel told the members, “I can speak for myself, I would prefer to stay with the current policy that I’m pleased with rather than go through a change if I don’t need to go through that change.” Join the club, Mr. Werfel! There are millions of Americans who would like to keep their current health insurance, as they were promised by Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi. There are also millions of Americans who would prefer to keep their job, their hours or simply any healthcare coverage at all, but all of those things are being effected by ObamaCare. Remember that the IRS plays a key role in the implementation of ObamaCare and it has to hire thousands of new employees to enforce it. Rep. Tom Price of Georgia has introduced a bill that would prevent the IRS from implementing and enforcing ObamaCare. Naturally, Obama has already said that he would veto such legislation.

But the guy in charge of enforcing ObamaCare at the IRS isn't the only one who is upset about switching health insurance. Congressional staffers were so upset by the potential shift in their healthcare coverage that the president himself took on the challenge earlier this week of coming up with a solution. The result? Congressional staffers essentially get a waiver! While you average Americans will be forced to deal with any of the potential fallout from shifting to ObamaCare, staffers on Capitol Hill won't have to worry about their own healthcare costs rising. According to a report in the Politico: “The Office of Personnel Management, under heavy pressure from Capitol Hill, will issue regulations saying that the government can continue to make the employer contribution to the health plans of members and aides, according to several Hill sources.” In other words, we the taxpayers will subsidies the costs for Congress to move into ObamaCare exchanges.

So while the administration is busy making exceptions for Congress and big business, who is stuck having to deal with ObamaCare as it was originally passed? Individuals and small business owners! I've chronicled the reports of how rates will be rising around the country, by more than 100% in certain states. But did you also know that the Obama administration is engaged in some tricky math that may make ObamaCare unavoidable for more small businesses? A report today in the Washington Examinerexplains that falling under the 50 employee threshold isn't as simple as just having 50 full-time workers. There is apparently a formula which counts a certain number of part-time workers as full-time, meaning that it is still possible to hit the 50 employee threshold with less than 50 full-time workers! According to a website created by the Small Business Administration, "Example: Company X has 40 full-time employees working 40 hours per week, along with 20 part-time employees working 15 hours per week. The 20 part-time employees are counted as 10 full-time equivalent employees. Company X has 50 full-time employees and is subject to the employer shared responsibility provisions." In other words, ObamaCare strives to nail small businesses while making exceptions for Congressional staff members in Washington DC. Truly an outrage.

The Obama administration is “changing names” of the Benghazi survivors and “creating aliases” to keep them hidden from congressional investigators and the American people, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) told Greta Van Susteren on Thursday night. He also said the administration is “dispersing them around the country” to keep them out of sight.

Gowdy’s stunning claims were overshadowed by CNN’s bombshell report that revealed there were “dozens” of CIA operatives on the ground in Benghazi on Sept. 11, 2012, the night of the deadly attack that killed four Americans. Meanwhile, the CIA is taking “unprecedented” to keep whatever it was doing in Benghazi a secret, according to the report.

“Stop and think what things are most calculated to get at the truth? Talk to people with first-hand knowledge. What creates the appearance and perhaps the reality of a cover-up? Not letting us talk with people who have the most amount of information, dispersing them around the country and changing their names,” Gowdy said.

It should be noted that Gowdy did not present evidence to back up his explosive claim, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have any.

These new Benghazi revelations come at the same time that the Obama administration has decided to start referring to the Benghazi and IRS scandals as “phony.”

CNN has uncovered exclusive new information about what is allegedly happening at the CIA, in the wake of the deadly Benghazi terror attack. Four Americans, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens, were killed in the assault by armed militants last September 11 in eastern Libya.

Sources now tell CNN dozens of people working for the CIA were on the ground that night, and that the agency is going to great lengths to make sure whatever it was doing, remains a secret.

CNN has learned the CIA is involved in what one source calls an unprecedented attempt to keep the spy agency’s Benghazi secrets from ever leaking out.

Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency’s missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency’s workings.

The goal of the questioning, according to sources, is to find out if anyone is talking to the media or Congress. It is being described as pure intimidation, with the threat that any unauthorized CIA employee who leaks information could face the end of his or her career.

In exclusive communications obtained by CNN, one insider writes, “You don’t jeopardize yourself, you jeopardize your family as well.”

Another says, “You have no idea the amount of pressure being brought to bear on anyone with knowledge of this operation.”

“Agency employees typically are polygraphed every three to four years. Never more than that,” said former CIA operative and CNN analyst Robert Baer. In other words, the rate of the kind of polygraphs alleged by sources is rare.

“If somebody is being polygraphed every month, or every two months it’s called an issue polygraph, and that means that the polygraph division suspects something, or they’re looking for something, or they’re on a fishing expedition. But it’s absolutely not routine at all to be polygraphed monthly, or bi-monthly,” said Baer.

CIA spokesman Dean Boyd asserted in a statement that the agency has been open with Congress.

“The CIA has worked closely with its oversight committees to provide them with an extraordinary amount of information related to the attack on U.S. facilities in Benghazi,” the statement said.

“CIA employees are always free to speak to Congress if they want,” the statement continued. “The CIA enabled all officers involved in Benghazi the opportunity to meet with Congress. We are not aware of any CIA employee who has experienced retaliation, including any non-routine security procedures, or who has been prevented from sharing a concern with Congress about the Benghazi incident.”

Among the many secrets still yet to be told about the Benghazi mission, is just how many Americans were there the night of the attack.

A source now tells CNN that number was 35, with as many as seven wounded, some seriously.

While it is still not known how many of them were CIA, a source tells CNN that 21 Americans were working in the building known as the annex, believed to be run by the agency. The lack of information and pressure to silence CIA operatives is disturbing to U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf, whose district includes CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

“I think it is a form of a cover-up, and I think it’s an attempt to push it under the rug, and I think the American people are feeling the same way,” said the Republican.

“We should have the people who were on the scene come in, testify under oath, do it publicly, and lay it out. And there really isn’t any national security issue involved with regards to that,” he said.

Wolf has repeatedly gone to the House floor, asking for a select committee to be set-up, a Watergate-style probe involving several intelligence committee investigators assigned to get to the bottom of the failures that took place in Benghazi, and find out just what the State Department and CIA were doing there.

More than 150 fellow Republican members of Congress have signed his request, and just this week eight Republicans sent a letter to the new head of the FBI, James  Comey, asking that he brief Congress within 30 days.

In the aftermath of the attack, Wolf said he was contacted by people closely tied with CIA operatives and contractors who wanted to talk.

Then suddenly, there was silence.

“Initially they were not afraid to come forward. They wanted the opportunity, and they wanted to be subpoenaed, because if you’re subpoenaed, it sort of protects you, you’re forced to come before Congress. Now that’s all changed,” said Wolf.

Lawmakers also want to about know the weapons in Libya, and what happened to them.

Speculation on Capitol Hill has included the possibility the U.S. agencies operating in Benghazi were secretly helping to move surface-to-air missiles out of Libya, through Turkey, and into the hands of Syrian rebels.

It is clear that two U.S. agencies were operating in Benghazi, one was the State Department, and the other was the CIA.

The State Department told CNN in an e-mail that it was only helping the new Libyan government destroy weapons deemed “damaged, aged or too unsafe retain,” and that it was not involved in any transfer of weapons to other countries.

But the State Department also clearly told CNN, they “can’t speak for any other agencies.” The CIA would not comment on whether it was involved in the transfer of any weapons. source – CNN
