Well, that’s not entirely true; Obama the White House social media people released a tweet. This mark’s the third year in a row that Obama has neglected to mention D-Day with a speech or written proclamation. He last gave a speech in 2009, the first year of his presidency and the 65^thanniversary of the event.
Michelle Obama, famous for her “Joining Forces” campaign which supports military families, simply attended a fundraiser in NYC and met with campaigners in Philadelphia.
Where was Master Obama? Well, he was out in sunny California making his way to San Francisco to pick up some campaign funds before heading to political capitol Beverly Hills for some more uneducated fundraising.
So much for honoring those who sacrificed time, family and lives for giving him the ability to saunter around the liberal elite in San Fran and 90210.
Oh yeah, since the presidency is all about campaigning now, maybe he should remember those swing states:

According to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, two critical swing states – Florida and Pennsylvania, are among the top five states in terms of veterans’ population. Within the top twelve are four others – Michigan, Ohio, Virginia and North Carolina – all states Obama desperately needs to carry.”
