Jim Vining

Jim Vining
Romans 1:14 I am a debtor both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to wise and to unwise.
Paul understood that His redemption had far greater implications than personal benefit. If my life is primarily lived for my own sake I have neglected the primary purpose of my existence. We must live beyond our forgiveness not only to give us access to eternity; but to bring others into the hope of Christ. To live primarily, for any other purpose than the glory of God is an offense to our Lord’s sacrifice. My debt to God was cleared that I might accept my responsibility to His gift toward others. I continue to live that I might be a witness to others. We do a disservice to others if we equate Christ’s redemption as simply a means to make our lives better, and it becomes the worst tribute we can offer our Lord and Savior. We are called to prepare us for an eternal habitation. My life must become an offering to God for His purpose. I exist because God wants to reveal Himself to the lost souls and bring more understanding of His ways to those seeking Him.
My continued Life in this world has two purposes:
1. To manifest the holiness of Christ
2. To be a bondservant that I might declare the Gospel and the kingdom of God.
