Heart for Uganda

Testimony Tuesday!! We thought hearing from the people who have been transformed by the ministries would be inspiring! Through Heart for Uganda [Founder: wife Alissa] and its sister organization in Uganda, God's Care Ministries [Founder: husband Victor], God is doing amazing work. May God be glorified through these stories:
My name is Matama Dinah. Our father left us when we were very young and my mother took us to another village where a good Samaritan gave us a house which was about to fall down, but when the man died, his child chased us from that house. One woman favored us and let us live in her kitchen, which was grass thatched and leaked when it rained. We lived there for a year and a half. During that time we did not have enough food.
When my brother Isaac got seriously sick and almost died because we had nothing to eat and nothing to cover ourselves with, our mother took us to church at God's Care Ministries. A man told us that God loves us so much. He prayed for us, and brought Abooki* Alissa who gave us clothes, food, and mosquito nets. We were filled with joy. Friends from America are now sponsoring us and we are studying in school and my mother has a job in God's Care Ministries. Our lives have changed.
I thank people from America for the good heart they show to me and the children in Uganda. Abooki Alissa is a mother to many in Kyenjojo. May God bless you, and we hope to be good children in the future. We shall be praying for you, and please keep on praying for us. Bye
*Abooki is a term of endearment meaning mother...the people of the village look to the pastor's wife as a mother figure
