Do you know what is wrong with COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM?
I like solutions that handle every aspect of every problem ...but when was the last time our government was efficient enough to do something so grand as a COMPREHENSIVE solution to a big problem? The most recent effort was healthcare reform and that pretty much set the country on fire with all the arguing, problems with the website, people losing health insurance, fights over who has to pay mandate and who gets pass, etc. As much as I like big solutions, yes, comprehensive solutions...I think it unrealistic to think our government is capable of it. Our government is a giant bureaucracy that is grossly inefficient, mismanaged and wasteful. Our government just can't do giant and comprehensive solutions. I wish we could...I just don't see the evidence. I think we are fooling ourselves if we think we can implement comprehensive solutions. I would like to be wrong on this, but I just don't see it.
