Organization plans to put God first with national motto

The Congressional Prayer Caucus Foundation has launched a drive to bring the national motto to the forefront of attention nationwide.

The Foundation wants to put In God We Trust up in government buildings, schools, and other public buildings. Lea Carawan, who heads the Foundation, discusses the reason behind this goal.
"The reason this is important is because there is an aggressive and an intentional attempt to remove God from every vestige of our nation by people who are basically bullying the citizens to give up their rights to publicly pray and express their faith, and many feel like there's nothing they can do about it," she explains. "We're saying that's not true."
Carawan says Americans have the right, backed up by the Constitution, to put God first -- and to do it publicly.
"Just like the fact that we have the right to publicly pray, we also have the right to put God up," she tells OneNewsNow. "If we continue to allow just a few anti-God, anti-faith groups to convince us that we don't have that right to free and public expression of our faith, we're going to lose it. And we are a Judeo-Christian nation established with 'In God We Trust' as our national motto."
The national motto can also be displayed on vehicles and on windows in one's home.
