Marine Veteran Arrested for Peaceful Protest

June 4, 2012   ·   By    ·   0 Comments
As you will see in the first video below, this Marine Corps veteran,  Dave Willoughby, was peacefully protesting at a pro-union gathering in Wisconsin and engaging union drones in some much-needed thought provocation.
Of course, when you try to provoke thought in a liberal, liberals see that as a terrifying threat. Thought is, after all, antithetical to all they believe in; rational thought quickly kills all the anti-American ideals they hold dear. But it is clear that this man is no physical threat to anyone, nor is he disrupting the pro-union thrust of the gathering.
So they had the police grab this peaceful protester by the back of his jacket and forcibly walk him out of the area. When he protested the unlawful actions of the police, they subdued him, handcuffed him and arrested him.
As a former law enforcement official who has been trained in crowd containment and subduing out-of-control people, I cannot see any justification for the actions of these police officers. In a statement by Willoughby at Liberty.com,
Without being told what I had done, I was handcuffed and escorted off premise. Placed in a squad car and taken to a police station. I asked if I should have my rights read to me and was told “You’re not being arrested.” My personal property was taken from me, I was fingerprinted, mug shot taken and locked in a dark jail cell (lights off) still handcuffed.
I sat in that jail cell, looking out of a meshed wire window, at a large American flag flying in the background. Where am I? How can this be happening? What did I do wrong? I prayed for strength.
Why would police–who are normally the best people you would ever come across–do something like this?
Was it because their police department is unionized and they felt my loyalty to their union than to the people they swore to protect and the Constitution they swore to uphold?
The supreme irony of it all is that this man was standing in support of the very freedom of these union drones.
I will once again remind you, we are at war for the soul and foundation of our nation. This is the kind of evil with which RINOs are flirting (and some are fully in bed with) when they take liberalism into their bosom. You can’t take just a little evil into your bosom and leave it at that. Liberalism–the political form of evil today–is a virulent cancer, a poison that makes the whole organism sick even in small doses.
Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker saw the destruction public sector unionism was causing to his state, and he has had the courage to stand against it and work to fix it. It’s never easy to turn back the darkness, for the darkness will always viciously fight the light,  but the fight is worth it, and it must be done if we are to secure a safe and prosperous world not only for ourselves but for our posterity.
We must turn back a darkening world where a citizen can be handcuffed and thrown in a jail cell for peacefully telling the truth in a public place.
