The Likud party is divided on the issue of the settlement regulation bill.
Benjamin Netanyahu and Knesset speaker Ruven Rivlin strongly disagree on a law securing Jewish properties on the Mountains in Zion.
The growing controversy surrounding the impending eviction of the Ulpana neighborhood in the West Bank settlement of Beit El is threatening to seriously rattle the Likud.
Party sources told Ynet Tuesday of an ideological spilt between those supporting the High Court-ordered eviction of five houses in the neighborhood, and those who oppose it.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu opposes the bill, which aims to circumvent the court’s ruling. The PM wants the legislation quashed and has therefore imposed party discipline on all Likud ministers, ordering them to enter a nay vote.
Those supporting the bill include Knesset members Danny Danon, Tzipi Hotovely, Gila Gamliel, Miri Regev, Yariv Levin and Coalition Chairman Zeev Elkin.

My comment:
The very idea of Zionism is up for a trial in the Likud party in Israel.
Benjamin Netanyahu is in favor of avoiding international wrath, by erasing a handful of Jewish houses in a large settlement.
Five of the houses in this Jewish settlement might be demolished.
Others in the Likud party do not want the International society to decide where Jews inside Israel can live, and live not.
The UN, US and EU have already told Netanyahu that they expect the Israeli government to erase the houses. The number of Jewish properties are few, but the symbolic act is of enormous value for the anti-Zionist lobby.
This houses are not caravans or tents on a hilltop in Samaria. These are full fledged Jewish bungalows. If Jerusalem is wiling to destroy there home, why not remove the other 100.000 houses, just like Islam demands?

O Lord, in keeping with all your righteous acts, turn away your anger and your wrath from Jerusalem, your city, your holy hill. Our sins and the iniquities of our fathers have made Jerusalem and your people an object of scorn to all those around us.
God of the Bible is watching. The Jews have got yet another chance to obey Him, or to trash the Hebrew Bible than explains that Judea and Samaria are both Jewish properties.
